Shared coach: the current estimate is €144.00 per traveller, calculated from €3,600 across 25 potential passengers. “Yes, likely” and “Not decided” families are included; “No, own transport” families are excluded. The figure updates as families respond. The transport service is the same as the private-coach option, but the 52-seat coach is shared with another club. Flights are booked separately.
Exchange-rate protection: parent payments are collected in sterling using a protected rate of £0.90 per €1. After the final EUR supplier payment, the actual GBP conversion cost and bank charges will be reconciled and any surplus returned to families proportionately.
How we reached the decision
We compared the practical options as well as the headline price. The shared coach gives the group the best balance of cost, safeguarding, convenience and dependable travel between venues.
One coordinated transport plan
It keeps the party together with luggage and covers every quoted group journey: airport, hotel, football venues and San Siro. The supplier states that the transport service is the same as the private option.
More control, but a higher cost
The exclusive coach would average about €164.29 per traveller—approximately €20.29 more each at the current participation level. A typical two-person package would be about €958.58 rather than €918.00.
Too much responsibility
Self-drive would require at least four seven-seat vehicles—and five may be more realistic once luggage is considered—plus willing drivers, deposits, insurance, fuel, tolls, parking and navigation throughout the trip.
Fragmented and difficult to price
Several vehicles would be needed for the group and its luggage, potentially splitting children and adults. Reliable costs cannot be established until every hotel and venue address is known.
Too dependent on routes and timings
Public transport may be cheaper for individual journeys, but it cannot yet be shown to serve the hotel and every football venue efficiently or fit reliably around the tournament schedule.
Still to be confirmed: the hotel, rooming arrangements, football-field addresses, final match schedule and any tourist tax. Flights, travel insurance and personal spending are not included in the package figures shown.
